Over 93,000 pets were adopted as a part of this year's Clear the Shelters Day.

The annual event, made possible by NBC and Telemundo TV stations, works with over 1,200 shelters throughout the country to offer free and reduced adoption fees.

Adopters took advantage of the day to flock to local shelters and rescues, leaving some shelters completely empty.

The event, now in its fourth year, has helped to adopt more than 245,000 pets since it began.

A television special recapping this year's event will air on NBC this Saturday. We're willing to bet it's going to be a puptacular watch.
